SEZ Table Tennis

Somerville, together with Auckland Table Tennis, once again hosted the SEZ Table Tennis tournament on Friday 7th June. We had a record number of over 80 students participating, representing 8 of our neighbouring schools. Our enthusiastic Somerville team was made up of Ethan Z, Dylan F, Bryant Y, Matthew M, Oscar X, DeLong V, Harvey Z, Olivia S, Luvin B and Cassie C. 

The tournament was played in a round robin format with the top 3 players from each group progressing to the knockout round. An impressive 6 of our Somerville students achieved these top 3 positions, before the semis and finals were played. Ethan Z was our top placed male, achieving a 3rd place overall, with Olivia S being the top Somerville female, taking out the 4th position overall.
