Motutapu Island

As part of our outdoor education programme, Year 7 students participate in a four day camp on beautiful Motutapu island. These camps are a highlight for all our new students each year. The students will participate in many exciting and challenging activities including sailing, kayaking, climbing, high ropes, archery and other fun team building activities.

2025 Camp Dates

  • Camp 1 - Monday 24 - Friday 28 March

Rooms 19, 20, 21, 22, 2 & 18

  • Camp 2 - Monday 31 March - Friday 4 April

 Rooms 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17 

  • Camp 3 - Monday 7 April - Friday 11 April

Rooms 1, 31, 32, 34 & 35

2025 Camp Cost

The cost for each student to attend camp is $605.00 and must be paid via KINDO. Payment options that include paying the camp off over time can be discussed and organised with Chris Hall or Steph Ready prior to this date.

A letter was sent home with your child on 5 February with all relevant information, including permission for student attendance and parent offer of help forms. It is imperative these forms are completed and returned to classroom teachers by Friday 21 February.

Camp Parent Training Evening

A training evening for all those parents attending camp will take place on Monday 10 March from 7.00 - 8.00 pm. It is imperative all those parents/whānau going to camp attend this important training evening.

Covid-19 Provisions

  1. Should a student or parent test positive for Covid while at camp, a water taxi to return the person to the Half Moon Bay Marina will be arranged. This will be a cost for the parent(s).
