SEZ Tennis

Girls

We had six amazing students who represented Somerville Intermediate at the SEZ Tennis tournament, hosted by us, and held at the Cockle Bay Tennis Centre. They competed in the singles and doubles competition on Wednesday 3rd April. 

Pauling Z and Vicky G represented Somerville in the girls singles while Evelyn S and Cassie C teamed up together, as well as Chloe D and Maaike W, to represent Somerville as our doubles teams.

Our girls had an awesome day and we were lucky enough to have some great weather conditions. The day was filled with some tough competition but excellent tennis skills.

Chloe D and Maaike W, our doubles team, played great throughout their matches and ended up placing 4th overall. Evelyn S and Cassie C also played incredibly and placed 5th overall for the day. Vicky G and Pauling Z played well in our singles, placing 6th and 7th for the day.

Overall, it was a fantastic day where we could celebrate some great tennis. Very proud of all our girls who played, well done!

Boys

The boys had an epic day on Friday 5th April at the SEZ Tennis tournament. The conditions were ideal and the boys were pumped for a great day. We went in with a team of 2 singles players (Cohen and Tyler) and 4 doubles players (DeLong and Yuri, and Leo and Brian). 

All of the boys played at least six games over the day, there were some outstanding skills shown throughout the day and a lot of hard work that was put in. The boys demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and they should be really proud of all of their efforts.
