SEZ Orienteering

Next up was the South Eastern Zone School Orienteering Championships held at Lloyd Elsmore Park on Tuesday 9th April.  Somerville made up three teams – Year 8 Girls, Mixed boys and a Year 7 Girls team. The Year 8 girls team consisting of Kylie P, Serenity C, Gaby P, Ruby D and Skyler L performed outstandingly and hav e now progressed to the Auckland Champs competition, to be held in Term 2.

 Unsurprisingly, the series is continuing its growth in popularity.  A great combination of brain and brawn, orienteering is accessible to all skill levels and we look forward to our students taking up this exciting opportunity again next year.
