Jackson M and Sam D from Room 29 and 30 cut and pulled out 216 moth plant pods and approximately 10-20 seedlings from the back of Room 30. They were helped by our kind caretaker, Mr Wood. Jackson entered the Moth Plant competition being run by Pest Free Howick Ward.
Moth plants are invasive weeds that strangle our native species. Each pod has over 1000 seeds, so you can imagine the damage they do when they burst out. Well done for getting rid of these potential pests!
