Leadership Camp 2024

A couple of weeks ago, our Whānau Prefects were involved in the 2024 Leadership Camp.

On Thursday 23rd May they attended their ‘Leadership Conference’ at school. They worked in their Prefect Councils on team-building challenges and also have started their planning around what social actions they would like to take this year. We are really excited about what they are working on and look forward to sharing their plans with the wider school community soon.

Our leaders stayed at school overnight and on Friday 24th May, they took part in the Amazing Race Challenge around the greater Auckland region. They were guided by senior leaders from Howick College and challenged with different tasks that required them to put their leadership skills into practice.

We are so lucky to have such enthusiastic and hard-working students committed to developing their leadership capabilities and making Somerville Intermediate a great place to be!
