Kids’ Lit Quiz

Do you know that Donald Duck’s middle name is Fauntleroy? Or do you know that the colour of the moors in Alfred Noyes' poem "The Highwayman" are purple? These are two of the many challenging and unexpected questions asked at the Kids’ Lit Quiz Auckland heat, held at St Cuthbert's on Tuesday 14 May. 

Once again, we entered two teams. Team One members were Manayah P,  Sachetan I, HanSeo M and Jocelyne J. Team Two members were Skylar L, Jacob A,  Molly L and Declan G and our reserve Carter E.

All of these students spent months preparing for the quiz, reading a wide range of literature and sacrificing many morning teas for extra study and training. Team One did particularly well, placing 30th out of 83 schools. All of the participants are to be congratulated for their effort.
