Year 7 Camp
Organisation for our three Year 7 camps on beautiful Motutapu Island is now well underway. The excitement is mounting and we are pleased with the high level of support from parents.
We do, however, require more adult helpers over the age of 18 for Camp 1 from Monday 25 - Thursday 28 March. If you or another member of your whānau are able to help, please contact your child's classroom teacher as soon as possible.
The request for student participation in the five day camp is $605.00 and payment can be made via Kindo.
The final day to confirm your child's participation in camp, by payment in full, was Friday 21 February. Payment options that include paying the camp off over time, can be discussed with Chris Hall chall@somint.school.nz (Rangitoto and Kawarau whānau) or Stephanie Ready sready@somint.school.nz (Aoraki and Ruapehu whānau), prior to this date.
If you have not yet confirmed your child's participation in camp and paid via Kindo, or contacted one of our DP's above to organise a payment plan, can you please do so by tomorrow.
As this is an overnight camp, all parent/adult helpers must be police vetted. If you have expressed an interest in attending one of the camps, and have not yet returned the completed, signed vetting form, including two forms of ID, please do so urgently, as the forms take time to be submitted and results received.
There will be an important meeting for all those parents/caregivers attending camp, on Monday 10 March from 7.00 - 8.00 pm. It is imperative that those involved attend this meeting.
All information pertaining to these camps, including camp medical form and equipment list, is available on our website.
