Six gymnasts from Somerville Intermediate qualified to attend the New Zealand Gymnastics Championships which was held in Palmerston North in the second week of the school holidays.

Holly U-S was selected to compete for Gymsport Manukau in the 11-12 age Trampoline, Double Mini Trampoline and Tumbling divisions, as well as the 13-14 Synchro Trampoline competition. Unfortunately she broke her ankle at the final training before leaving for Palmerston North, so she was unable to compete.
