Motutapu Island
As part of our outdoor education programme, Year 7 students participate in a four day camp on beautiful Motutapu island. These camps are a highlight for all our new students each year. The students will participate in many exciting and challenging activities including sailing, kayaking, climbing, high ropes, archery and other fun team building activities.
Re-scheduled dates for 2022 camps are:
Camp 1 - Tuesday 9 August - Friday 12 August
Rooms 28, 30, 31, 32, 24 & 25
Camp 2 - Tuesday 16 August - Friday 19 August
Rooms 9, 11, 13, 14 & 26
Camp 3 - Tuesday 23 August - Friday 26 August
Rooms 1, 5, 7, 8 &27
The cost for each student to attend camp is $385.00 and this can paid via KINDO.
The final day to confirm your child's participation in the camp, by payment in full, is 24 June 2022.
A letter with details regarding camp and a cut off slip to be completed for attendance at camp and by those parents who are able to help out at camp, was sent home with your child the week commencing 9 May. Once camp parent helpers have been confirmed, a meeting will be held for these parents on Thursday 28 July at 7.30 pm. It is imperative that all parent helpers attend this meeting.
Covid-19 Provisions
- In the event that camp/s are cancelled, refunds will be made minus a non-refundable $30 administration and loss of deposit fee.
- All those attending camp will be required to do a RAT the night before attending camp. RAT kits will be provided by the school.
- Should a student or parent test positive for Covid while at camp, a water taxi to return the person to the Half Moon Bay Marina, will be arranged. This will be a cost fo the parent(s).
