The Somerville Intermediate Equestrian team competed at the Papatoetoe Pony Club's Intermediate Schools' Ribbon Day event on Monday 21 November.

It was a fun-filled day for everyone. Our horses looked great wearing the Somerville Intermediate saddle pads, complete with school logo.

The first part of the day was flatwork classes e.g best combination, best Pony Club mount, rider on the flat, horse on the flat, and more. All of us placed in at least one of those classes. Next up was jumping, which was of course our favourite! Once again everyone placed in these classes, and most of us more than once! 

By the end of the day, we were very pleased with what we had achieved, coming away with a huge number of ribbons between us. We were very proud and happy girls and ended up coming third out of 15 schools! GO SOMERVILLE!!!
