2018 has been a highly successful year for our gymnasts.

A lot of hard work and dedicated effort by our two parent coaches has been the reason behind this success. Therefore a special thanks must go to Anca Soncodi and Sharona Peng.

In the local SEZ competition our teams did not fare so well, but we did get some great individual results.

Auckland Champion of Champions Results

The morning session was notable for a great performance by our Y7 girls' team who finished in second place. This is made even more meritorious because our three girls were competing against teams comprised of four.

Results were:
2nd place Y7 Girls team – Milieka Grice, Sophie MacIntyre,
Maddison Lum-On
5th place Y7 Girls individual - Milieka Grice
7th place Y7 Girls individual – Sophie MacIntyre
6th place Y8 Girls individual – Sophie Read

In the afternoon, our Y8 Girls and Open Boys competed. Again, we gained excellent results.
Emma Soncodi finished third in the individual competitive girls competition; Indie Nichols finished seventh and Leona Zhao finished eighth. In the team competition, our girls (Emma Soncodi, Indie Nichols and Leona Zhao) finished 1st equal.

In the boys competition, Bronson de Beer won the individual open event, which was a fantastic result! Our other male competitior, Matthew Arck-Weeber, was competing under an injury cloud, which hampered his efforts. In a really close competition, he ended up fourth, but that was only by tenths in his final score.
