On the morning of the South Eastern Zone tournament, the Year 7 & 8 A/B teams, as well as our two boys' teams, headed to the AMI Auckland Netball Courts ready for a day that was going to be filled with a lot of netball.

Throughout the day, all teams played a total of 5 - 6 games each, which were very fast, comprising of 2 x 7-minute halves.

The girl's teams started the day strong, with both Year 8 teams and our Year 7 A team winning their pool. The Year 7A girls had a particularly strong start to the day as they headed into their final game against Farm Cove, with only 3 goals scored against them. The Year 8 A/B teams also had convincing wins against schools such as BBI, St Kents, Sir Edmund Hillary and Mission Heights, to name a few.

Well done to all our Somerville teams! Your support and encouragement for each other throughout the day was incredible, as was your comm

unication on the court. It was also very pleasing to see you use your downtime between games to go and support each other throughout the day. You can be very proud of your efforts both on and off the court.

Lastly, I would like to make a special mention to all of our netball coaches and managers for all your efforts this netball season. We have been able to create teams for all the girls this year and this would not have been possible without our fantastic parent helpers and their families. We thank you for giving up your time in order to get these girls on the court and for allowing them the opportunity to be a part of a team. Your support doesn't go unnoticed.
