On Sunday 18 November, a group of Somerville students took part in the Rotary Howick Fun Run.

This community event is a yearly run that takes place from Stockade Hill around the local beaches. The students ran a gruelling 6km course kicking off at 9am, and enjoyed the celebratory festivities and spot prize draws at the the conclusion of the run. Other local schools took part in this event and enjoyed the community atmosphere alongside our own students. Mr Ellery ran the course with the students as well as other staff and their pets to cheer on our runners.

Well done to all of those students, parents and teachers who took part in this event. Their participation has contributed to our local Coast guard raising funds to continue providing a service to boaties around east Auckland.
