After winning the SEZ Softball tournament, the year 8 Somerville girls' softball team set off to North Habour Stadium on March 23rd for the Interzone Softball competition.

The girls faced two tough opponents for their first games. Firstly they played Pt England who managed to secure a win over Somerville. The girls then went on to face Holy Cross who defeated Somerville and went on to become the overall champions of the day. The team then played Orewa for their final game and thanks to Somerville's solid batting and great teamwork on the field, they won this game, placing them 5th in Auckland.
